The Chełmiś the Bear trail has expanded. New four bears

The route of Chelm’s teddy bears has expanded again. Four new Chełmisi figurines have appeared in the city’s space, referring to education, construction, daily work and the discovery of local values. Each installation was funded by local institutions and entrepreneurs.

New figurines added to city’s trail

A Student Teddy Bear has been erected in front of the State Academy of Applied Sciences in Chelm at 54 Pocztowa Street. The figurine depicts Chełmis wearing a biretta, symbolically welcoming students starting their studies at the academy.

The figure alludes to the academic nature of the site and the university’s role in educating the region’s young residents. The teddy bear is meant to remind of perseverance, development and the acquisition of knowledge.

Another novelty is the Builder’s Bear set up at Topbud-Plus’ headquarters at 45 Podgórze St. Chełmiś the Bear with a wheelbarrow full of construction materials symbolizes daily work, commitment and the development of local infrastructure.

The dynamic form of the figure alludes to the nature of the construction industry and emphasizes the importance of companies working for the development of the city.

Symbols of everyday life and exploring the city

A Teddy Bear with a Window has also appeared at 38 Hrubieszowska Street. The figurine depicts Chelmis holding a window frame, a metaphor for a new look at the surrounding space.

The project emphasizes the importance of noticing the beauty of everyday life and building an aesthetically pleasing and friendly urban space. The symbolic “window” is intended to encourage residents to discover the charm of Chelm from a different perspective.

On the other hand, the Geologist Bear stood at 69 Lubelska Street. The figurine depicts a bear equipped with a pickaxe, ready to search for hidden treasures and secrets of the earth.

The installation refers to the passion for discovery, research work and geological references related to the region.
