The building of the former Magistrate, now home to, among other things, Tourist Information. Neo-Renaissance red brick facade with decorative cornices. Starting point of the trail. The building was constructed in 1926-1927, designed and built in Neo-Renaissance style.
Among the most important architectural features of this monument are:
Body plan: The building was established on the plan of the letter L.
Finial: Characteristic elements are attics with pinnacles and a semicircular tympanum (gable) in the corner section.
Facade details: On the facade, the original elements have been preserved, such as the cornice divisions, the city coat of arms placed in the gable, and the oculus with the date “1927”.
Although the mass retains its original character, the Neo-Renaissance style is somewhat less visible today due to numerous reconstructions, especially in the wing on the side of Strażacka Street (where the “Zorza” cinema is located).
