","tresc":"Retro Fest is a unique outdoor event organized in Chelm, dedicated to Polish culture, music and customs of the interwar period. The festival transports participants to the atmosphere of the 1920s and 1930s - a time of elegant dances, backyard music, city cafes and the unique atmosphere of the pre-war city. This is an extraordinary meeting of history, art and entertainment, which attracts a growing audience every year. <\/p>\n
The event includes retro music concerts, a competition of backyard bands, an atmospheric retro dance party and performances by artists inspired by the style and culture of the interwar period. The festival combines music, dance and artistic activities with attention to historical details, creating a unique atmosphere of a pre-1939 urban celebration. <\/p>\n
In previous editions, Retro Fest was held in the historic Directorate district, whose architecture perfectly reflected the spirit of the era and emphasized the character of the event.<\/p>\n
Starting in 2026, however, the festival gets a new, expanded formula. From August 7-9, the entire center of Chelm will undergo a stylization inspired by the interwar period, turning the city into a space of true time travel. <\/p>\n
The focal point of the events will be the Edward Luczkowski Square. Edward Luczkowski, around which concerts, performances and outdoor shows will be concentrated. The streets of the city will be lined with horse-drawn carriages, antique cars, and the historical atmosphere will be complemented by reconstruction groups, street artists and the music of backyard bands resounding through the urban space. <\/p>\n
There will also be stylized themed zones, scenery inspired by pre-war Chelm, and exhibitors showcasing crafts, fashion and products characteristic of that era.<\/p>\n
The unique atmosphere of Retro Fest is also created by the participants themselves, who eagerly appear\nin costumes inspired by the fashions of the 1920s and 1930s. In this way, the entire city becomes a living historical scene, allowing residents and tourists to experience the climate of pre-war Chelm in an authentic and engaging way. <\/p>\n
Retro Fest is an event that combines culture, history and urban entertainment in an original way.
